Road Trippin' with Karen
Another Federal holiday means another day off for Kevin. So that means an great opportunity to get out of Fayetteville. As part of our V-day presents we decided to get a GPS (Circuit City going out of business saved big $$) to help us out on our little road trips. Her name is Karen and she has an Aussie accent (why Aussie? why not! it gives her personality) So where to today. We looked at going to the northern part of NC, but it was too cold. So we headed south. We figured it would be balmy instead of down right cold. We narrowed it down to SC since Billy and Melissa will be moving there this summer we thought we would see what we could find. Well, we found a zoo in Columbia, only about 2 1/2 hours-ish from here and easy as pie with Karen as our co-pilot. The trip home was another story we hit traffic on I-95 and it took us 2 hrs to go 15 miles....that made for an almost 5 hour ride home. Below are some photos of our fun filled adventure.....

A boy and his frog
Mountains Majesty?
OK, now for all of you that have lived out west, we know what a mountain looks like. Well the other day Kevin had a day off during the week and we decided to take in some of the sites of NC. We do boarder the Smokey an Appalachian Mtns., however we are too far for a day trip. On the NC map are a bunch of "mountains", and I use that word loosely. The road to the "mountain" was closed because of snow earlier the week. We went to took a picture of the "mountain" but could not see it over the tree... long story short, largest hill in the area. Anyhow, the park did have some hiking trails, so off we went over the creek and through the woods. we soon realized we are way out of shape!

Round and Round we go
OK, the visious cycle has began. It all started with Ethan and his runny nose, the constant sneezing and the caughing. That's right, he has been sick. Just as the he was getting over it, mom and dad get sick and then back to him. So today's project was taking the lysol wipes and spray and going around the house to nip it in the bud
