Our NEWEST addition!
He is finnaly HERE!! We are so Excited to intoduce Blayne Sumner Pressgrove. He was born 20 March 2010 at 158A He is 8 lbs 9 oz 21 inches long and another big headed baby at 35 cm. He has LOTS and LOTS of dark brown/black hair. He has dark eyes, but cannot leave them open long enough to let us get a good look at what the actual color is.

I walked into the kitchen for just a minute. I guess we left a dinning room chair out and Ethan just helped himself up onto the table to get something. It might be time to clean off the dinning room table.
Hockey Game
So last month we got some free tickets to the local hockey team (minors) so we decided to go and take Ethan. He loved it!. The seats were just right for Ethan to sit in by himself and no one was sitting infront of us so he could see everything... He cheered and followed the players back and forth.

Here today, gone... today
So we had abour 3 inches of snow fall on Friday night into Saturday AM. It was very pretty and had fun playing in it. However, by 3p that afternoon, except for the few patches of snow in some shaded areas, you would have never guess we just had a big snow fall. Go figure... The first of the pictures were taken at about 9-ish AM. The last one is at about 345-ish PM Here are some highlights

Sleet! no Snow! no Ice!
This is what we woke up to on Saturday AM. This was supposed to be the begining of a long weekend of sleet, snow, and ice. It caused church to be canceled on Sunday. We never got the snow this far south, all the white stuff is sleet that acummilated overnight and until 12n Saturday. As the sun came out and it warmed up. it turned into freezing rain, then as the temps dropped into the night, it iced over. It was still fun to play in for all of 5 minutes. It was way too cold to be outside.

Hanging out with Dad
OK, Ethan has this obsession with the camera. He likes to play with it, bang it around, and have his picture taken (on his terms). This is some of what I found one day after Ethan had been left with Dad for a couple of hours.
Out for a stroll
So a couple of weeks ago, Ethan just up and decided he was going to walk. Now I knew it was coming since he has been taking a couple of steps her and a couple of steps there for the last couple of months. He has been racing along the walls and sofas as well.
I looked up one AM and there he was walking not holding on to anything ( I figured he would do it this way) So I started cheering and he took one step and then started crawling again..errrrrr. Day two, I catch him again walking when he thought no one was looking, I start cheering again and he keeps going. He has been going ever since. He has even started picking up speed! It has made it way easier to go to the park now that I don't have to carry him or hose him off and wash clothes once we get home because he has been crawling in dirt and mulch. So here are a couple of pix..... what a cute boy we have!

A Year in Review...
I hope that everyone is finding their new year full of hope and excitment and have something fun to look forward to. For us it has been a busy year. We took a rad trip home to TX to visit the family, then we took another trip at the end of the summer to upstate NY to visit some friends and went to the Adirondikes. Then we made a last minute trip back to TX (this time by plane). And then there are the changes that we were notified of.....
KEVIN- We are still stationed at Pope AFB for now. He has finnished all but one class and then he will graduate this spring. Just befor Christmas Kevin found out that he will be going to Korea for 1 year with out us. We looked into going on the waitlist to have us go with him, but then we would lose our chance to go to Europe when he was done and we could be sent anywhere (most likely undesirable). Then they tried to dangle going for two years by himself for extra $$ each month. If it was just me, I'd say see ya in two years but with the boys, one year is long enough. We have not received the "ofifcial orders" telling him he is going and where he will be going after Korea. That should come in the next few months.
Mary Ellen-As for me,. I have enjoyed my year as a stay at home mom to the best little man ever! I also discovered this summer that I was pregnant with number two and at the begining, it just sucked every last bit of energy that I had out of me. Good thing Ethan is easily entertained and likes to play with his toys. This pregnancy was so different we were convinced that we were having a girl..... However, after four ultrasounds, they keep insisting that it is a boy. In light of the recent changes that will be coming this year, I will be moving back to TX to live with mom. The only down side of the whole move is that it is NOT a military move, and I have to pack my own boxes and move our own stuff, and pay for it myself! Ugggghhhh :s Oh, the injustice! However, I have no desire to be so far from family on my own with two little boys two and under. This will also give Ethan time to get to know his cousins and grandparents.
Ethan-is growing like a weed. We went for his 1 year check up just before Thanksgiving, and he weighed 23 1/2 lbs (50%), was 2' 7 1/2 " tall (92%) and his head is in the 92% range as well. He is a BIG boy and is still growing. We went to the DR last week because he was sick and he had already gained 1/2 lb. He wears 18mos sized clothing and loves to "talk" and read his books. We already have 7 teeth and judging by the drool that is coming out of his mouth, more are trying to sneak in on us. We take steps and cruise around the furniture, but will only take a couple of steps at a time. He has not discovered the joy of walking just yet. He is the biggest flirt you will find. He has the best laugh ever. He recently took his first airplane ride and he did really well. I think it would have been a different story if he did not have his own seat and had to sit on mom and dad's lap. His favorite food is noodles and gets very excited anytime a put some on his tray, the next best thing is goldfish crackers. I'm sure if I would let him, he would eat goldfish all day.
Buddy the Cat-is well, a cat. He still get's sick, but there is nothing we can do about it. In his old age, he has become more snuggly, when he wants to be. He has decided that Ethan is NOT going anywhere and that's just the way it is. If he is desperate for attention, he will come and snuggle on our laps, even if Ethan is already there. Little does he realize that there is another one coming. He has an opinion about everything, and I think he just tolerates us most days.
That's us in a nutshell for this past year, and I know that we will have lots more to talk about in next year's letter. Maybe I'll even get around to taking a family picture in time to mail out Christmas cards, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
